The Palm Springs Marquis, one of the most technologically advanced conference resorts in
the country, has created a new position, sales manager of information technologies, filled by Greg Purdy. He will be responsible for the development of "high tech" meetings, educating meeting and corporate
planners on the conference resortıs technological capabilities, and assisting with onsite functions. Purdyıs previous position, manager of leisure and international sales, will shift to Cindy Veale, the conference
resortıs director of sales.
"The technology amenities offered at the conference resort - T1 Internet access in each guestroom and
all meeting rooms, a new teleconferencing suite, and by mid-Summer, personal computers in fifty guestrooms -- has lured some of the countryıs most advanced technology companies to host their meetings at the Palm
Springs Marquis, creating a new "high tech" meeting niche for the conference resort," states Cindy Veale, director of sales at the Palm Springs Marquis Resort and Conference Center. "This new
position is highly specialized to meet the ever changing demands of technology meetings and to service this sophisticated industry," adds Veale.
