left on 8 holes, so don't hook! Good landing areas on most holes. No out- of-bounds, but don't stray into the rough, surrounding area desert. Bent greens.

When the LPGA players hit the course this week at the Nabisco Dinah Shore, they will quickly notice the new bunkering around the greens at the only home the tournament has even known.
The bunkering was changed over the summer, creating deeper traps with steeper faces. The bunkers
are generally smaller than they were, and three bunkers on the course were eliminated entirely.
Palm Springs Golf Course and Package Information
Aside from the bunkers, the course is basically the same one the players face every year. The layout
has large trees throughout course, and Muirhead's design is more a traditional, East Coast course than a true desert course. Water comes into play on just four holes, but none as dramatically as the par-5
18th. The hole has water the entire left side of the fairway, with the lake eventually surrounding the massive island green on one of the most photographed holes in the desert. The par-3s are among the
toughest holes on the course, with water on the fifth and 14th holes and difficult greens on the eighth and 17th. The par-4s are some of the easier holes on the course, not counting the third hole, which
requires a long iron for an approach shot. Drives on the 15th and 16th holes must be placed well or golfers can find themselves blocked from the green, even if the ball is in the fairway.
