Palm Springs Golf Course - Desert Falls
A links-type course that is surprisingly hilly for the desert. Heavily trapped. Very large, multilevel greens. Water a major factor on
seven holes. Five sets of tees. A fair and demanding course. This course has served as a Stage I PGA Tour qualifying site. In November1992, it hosted
Don Drysdale's PGA Senior Tour charity event. Bent greens, palm-springs-golf

Few courses in the desert feature a combination of sand, water and Scottish links characteristics like Desert Falls does.
Ron Fream's design incorporates such Scottish influences as rolling fairways
and large bunkers throughout the course.
The first major bunker comes on the third hole, a gaping trap in front of the
green on the par 3. Other big bunkers show up on the fourth, fifth and sixth holes.
Water then creeps into play on many holes, including a large lake that
separates the ninth and 18th. Those two holes also share a double green, another Scottish characteristic.
The most memorable hole on the course is the par-3 14th, which features a
huge green. The 18,000 square-foot surface appears to be three separate greens joined in the middle and invites three-putts.
